About
I am a paper artist and designer based in Oban. Working from my home studio, I create playful and interactive paper goods including 3D models, paper illustrations, cards and decorations, mainly inspired by Scotland. I use a process of tactile paper collage where paper is layered to give a unique 3D effect to my work

Inspiration
My work is mainly inspired by Scotland. Its endless stunning landscapes along with its fascinating culture and heritage provide endless inspiration for my work.
Overall, I strive to create art that has as little environmental impact as possible and that can ultimately be recycled. I want my work to be temporary and to only last a life time.
Originally a set and costume designer and model maker for theatre, I started working with paper when lockdown began. When it hit I had to quickly gather my things from my studio and bring all of it in one bag to my parents house. I incidentally brought a pile of coloured paper. With this being the main material I had and a lot of time on my hands, I started seeing what I could do with it, and discovered its endless versatility.
Since then I have been creating paper based models and illustrations, as well as delivering art workshops across Scotland.
